Readomania announces a collection of short stories by C V Lakshmi - Bebey's Day Out and Other Stories.
A physicist and teacher by training, C.V.Lakshmi is a writer by choice. She has been published in Eve’s Weekly, Femina, Woman’s Era, Good Housekeeping, and Today, the afternoon paper by India Today. Pauline Publications, Mumbai has published a book of original children’s stories by Lakshmi. Another story for children appears in the anthology, Airavata: Elephant Tales, published by Mayaakatha. Her stories have appeared online at Women’s Web, and Readomania. She blogs occasionally, and reviews and edits other authors’ works. She has been a volunteer with Teach India, an initiative by The Times of India.
Lakshmi says, 'Writing is a great pleasure in itself, but when one gets to share it with like minds, the pleasure is doubled. I enjoy writing in longhand, and it was exhilarating to put my signature on my first book with Readomania!'
Bebey's Day Out and Other Stories offers a cornucopia of characters across places and timelines. From the IT hubs of Gurgaon and Bangalore to the cotton fields of 17th-century Deccan, from the struggle for existence to the battle with loneliness, from the diverse dynamics of matrimony to the promise of nascent love, this collection of stories reveals a plethora of emotions.
The book is expected to release in the next few months.
