Readomania announces Kausalya - Queen of Hearts, the Winning manuscript from JK Papers AUTHER Awards by Times of India, written by Vibha Sangita Krishnakumar.
Vibha Sangita Krishnakumar has been writing for the past decade. Her repertoire includes poems, short stories and novels. She is a voracious reader of fantasy novels and is also deeply interested in Indian mythology. Vibha is also an accomplished carnatic vocalist and violinist. She is a recipient of the CCRT Scholarship from the Government of India for Carnatic vocal music since 2018. Her twin passions of music and writing are combined in her contributions for Sruti Magazine - India’s premier English language magazine for the performing arts, where she has been corresponding since July 2021. Vibha is currently a sophomore at the University of Hyderabad where she is pursuing an Integrated Masters in Biology.
The book narrates Queen Kausalya's story, one that everyone must know about - from standing by, as her husband went on to take two more wives, to grieving for him right after sending her only son into exile; her life is filled with tragedies. Yet her tale is one that no author or poet has written about. She is depicted as a meek Queen, the woman who’s only achievement in life was to give birth to an avatar of God. What if there was more to her than on these lines? What if she was the favorite Queen of the King and her life wasn’t just lived behind the shadows?
'Kausalya - Queen of Hearts' isn't the story of a queen confined to her chambers. It is about a warrior Princess, beloved by her people and family alike.
