The magic of the sun
In shimmering gold and white,
All the colours of the light
Conjured to shine as one.
The vast expanse of sky,
Indescribably blue,
So strange and unknown too
Beyond my reach, so high.
The foliage, sparkling green,
Born in Spring anew,
Still washed in winter dew,
And memories that have been.
In all that boundlessness
A tiny speck I see,
A bit of life that’s me,
A fragment …but no less.
