The Wordly Sanyasi ....
So oxymoronic it may sound;
For a sentient man,
With his feet on the ground;
To seek of salvation
With responsibilities abound!!
One can’t be the Buddha,
to renounce his wealth, wife and son;
In quest for the ultimate truth,
O’ divine – the enlightened one!!
You couldn’t bear the sight,
Of the sufferings in your kingdom,
And left the palace for the jungle,
In search of true wisdom!!
Forgive me O learned souls,
For I reckon I am not wrong,
The Buddha assuaged his senses,
But the earthlings still suffer along!!
Behind every Buddha,
their lies a selfish soul:
Who Shun’ their dear ones
In pursuit of a personal goal.
Isn’t my karma for me?
THY commandments to follow,
How fair is the renouncement,
For my search of the ‘HALO’.
To serve best THY creations,
Is the shortest route to salvation,
Honestly you toil all day,
You don’t need no coronation!!
