When I look around for flowers,
The Bougainville’s surely around;
In all weathers you smile,
So ubiquitously you fill the ground!
Vines -bushes and hedges you form,
so many ways you ornate my lawn;
Red magenta white and yellow,
So simple hues you always don!
Come rains and a gentle breeze,
The garden blooms with colors galore;
Dahlia’s and daffodils –orchids and tulips,
And they are so many, and much more!!
But in summers with harsh sunny days,
When hot dry winds blow misery on earth;
Bougainville’s still flower aplenty,
Withered n dry but yet no dearth!
Man is naive n foolish as ever,
Not to revel in your grace;
In his bouquets garlands and vases,
You don’t find a worthy place…
