A mighty river- they call it 'Mekong',

Sculpts a town as it flows along.

Hotels, parks, eateries, and shop,

All on it's banks, worth every stop.

Among markets, festivals, and the rest,

The Boat Festival is by far the best!

Not just the carefree revellers who cross these waters,

It's also, the daily- wagers and the weary- workers.

On the way home, children meet and adults greet,

After a hard day or accomplishing a feat.

The fitness - freaks are dot on time,

As the bells on the clock- tower chime.

Then the boat makes its daily turn,

Oh! For that ride how I yearn!

Are those shining lights, or the star-studded sky?

Across the borders that amaze passers-by?

A spectacular sight, in the glow of the night,

As shadows dance upon and music is right,

Nostalgic memories etched in my mind,

Wonder! if such a beauty, I'll ever again find!
