I looked through the mist with questions in my eyes
Tried to understand the gist,
A curse or a prize?
It was that spring, I thought
The light in the lap, I brought, Daughters are a boon, they said. Bloomed with every light and shade
My flowing hair and purple eyes, that caught fancies of all and wise. Fell for a handsome, tall and dark. The world around was left with a mark
Of the blooms around, that often lurk;
I thanked you with all my heart, For the rosy life and cosy hearth; But, why on earth, did you shatter the ground?
On your doors, that I found; Standing in front, wrath and guile, wanted a chance to ask you, a while you claim to be wise and divine?
So, why me?
I wait for you to come and say
I want to judge you, my own way. Come the Judgement Day.
The mist started clearing out
I could see you ,wielding clout
The rains of July, I remember vivid, when I came back, again, in it
I was the bonny boy, so sweet,
That grew up to everyone's treat. Being the eldest in the league
I shouldered happiness, small and big
The peers and family looked up to me
To pull their cart, with smile and glee.
Fell in love with the best, that can be,
Moments flew like waves in a sea, The improper 'me' got the better of her,
She left me with a weird scar.
I broke down, still picked me up, Bled my heart, with one big gulp, Went ahead with life again, Through winter, summer and the rain
Why didn't you look up to me? While I paused through the rainy spree?
'You , too, are a sinner', I sternly said
Looked at your eyes, through emotions, I wade
You can't possibly utter a word with my breathing soul, that stood my guard
'You can't always be right?
With divinity and your heavenly might,
So, set the chair, and clear my way, I'll judge you, this Judgement Day.'
