“I don’t want you to accept my friendship request. Let us be strangers and start a conversation. And then, let our fate decide whether we become friends or not.” He messaged.
There was something unusual about this guy, she thought. He seemed so true, so honest. She replied to him and their conversations boosted up their bond.
Like everybody, they started as strangers. They met online. He was mesmerized by her beauty and by the pictures that she uploaded. Those pictures clearly depicted her liveliness and her outgoing nature.
She loved kids and so did he. She loved his poetry and his songs. She fell in love with his words. An unquenchable thirst for his songs soon began to creep up in her mind. She literally fell in love with him, completely unaware that he loved her even more.
Soon, destiny hath his will. He mailed a letter to her. She received it with utmost excitement. Happiness surrounded her in every possible way. She was on cloud nine. They hadn't met for once in real life and yet his letter made her cry out of joy. It seemed to her that the stranger alone was reading out the letter to her. The letter read :-
“To my sweet stranger,
I don’t know if someone believes in love at first sight or not. But for me, it was absolutely true. I fell in love with you the day I saw you. It was 14th of March, when while scrolling through my timeline, I saw a post of my friend. There I saw you in the most beautiful saree one could ever wear. Your face glimmered like a moon. Serenity crept my soul. I was startled by the way you made those moments lively. Even though I hadn't seen you even once but there was something in you which took my heart away. Never did I thought I would fall in love with someone but destiny had some other plans for me.
You made me lively,
You made me believe in love.
You took my heart away, and my soul found its perfect world.
You made me sing,
You made me write,
You made me the best person I have ever known,
And my life truly stride.
Thanks for your love,
Thanks for your care.
In you, I see my perfect half,
Bestowed with an eminent glare.
- Your Stranger.”
Enclosed in it was his address. She dressed up in the most beautiful way she could. He waited for her. His house was a large villa surrounded by a variety of trees and a beach nearby. Children used to play at the beach and the elderly wandered with their grandchildren. He started playing football with those kids.
She reached his house. He was nowhere to be seen. She asked a little girl about that stranger. She pointed him out. She rushed towards him and tapped his back. He turned. A moment of silence. A moment of bliss. They stood motionless and stared at each other. The sound of the waves and the voices of those children had no effect on them.
Back to his senses, he pulled out a ring from his pocket, bent down on his knees. A ring in one hand while a rose and chocolate in the other, he proposed her at that very moment. Tears of joy started gushing out of her eyes. She pulled him closer and they kissed. Every single person at the beach stared in awe. He started singing for her. She joined. Everybody clapped. Soon, the place was filled with joy. It was his birthday and nature bestowed him with the best gift he could ever receive.
Dusk it was, pretty little showers of rain enriched that moment. The sun and the clouds laughed at their (strangers) fate. Strangers they were, now bonded together by eternal love.
