Self pity is a pesky mosquito

A puny parasite - incognito

An annoying neighbor

Intrudes at little behest

A litany to lull rational mind to rest

A tattered blanket to take refuge from cold

A viral infection marked by sore throat & runny nose

A silly jester on stage,

Performing an act

Apt for disgrace

No ovation, no applause falls on eardrums

A minister at the House of Boredom

A proclamation of a subject-less Czar

A vanity mirror of a lethargic queen

A coward enemy

Runs off the battle field

To the sound of a mere gunshot

A small key to a big lock

A boulder on the glory road

A hopeless drunken dervish

A peril

A devil

A spell

That must be cast away at all cost!
