       Marina Beach
Like a charming virgin girl,
Since creation undefiled
Attracts thousands every day,
The crown of Bay of Bengal, the second largest,

And the pride of Chennai

Silver sand spreads beautifully
On it - children play joyfully
Lovers chat copiously
With never-mind-attitude for the onlookers
Families spend time forgetting their worries totally

Leaving their hearts there saying good-bye
To the place their hearts tied.
The lovely Beach of Marina, a talk of every visitor
Of the city so rich in culture; so old and safe in nature.
Gives an enduring impression forever.

But now cries helplessly, losing original charm
Like an innocent victim of cruel gang rape.
May the voice of Marina be heard!
Dont throw garbage and plastic bottles on me
Kindly keep me clean!
