She was vulnerable,
Absently gazing at an empty wall,
Tears filling her eyes again.
In her private unguarded moments,
In her own little world,
She was consumed by his thoughts,
Intoxicating thoughts.
I wouldn’t say she never tried,
She did, she truly did,
To describe how she felt,
She wasn’t understood,
Least of all, by herself.
She remembered him.
He always asked her,
“Hey beautiful, why on earth amongst all of them, me?
Why would you marry me?”
She had pulled him closer,
Nibbled his ear, and
Whispered: “I don’t know”.
Bearing an untold story inside,
Crawling in her bed with grievances unspoken,
Enduring pain,
Recovering in silence,
Life was a steady decline into madness,
Sleepless nights; dreadful days
She preferred solitude.
Undisturbed and,
devoid of all contrived empathy.
He took away every spark of bliss,
Every ounce of hope, from her life.
She could never go back,
After all life only moves forward.
Continuous feeling of out of sorts,
Perpetual burden,
She never knew what it was,
Why it happened.
He read her like a wild fantasy,
He never tried to unveil the stunning mystery,
He never needed an explanation,
He saw what others failed to see,
Beauty amidst the chaos.
He simply loved her,
With all he had,
For the way she was,
From the depths of his soul.
Realization washed over her,
In alternating waves of pain and numbness,
She exclaimed and destiny cried harder:
“You are so charming to think of ,
and so hard to be without”.
He flew past her,
towards eternity!
