Obsequious, servile, loathsome humans, ready to crawl

To do his bidding , sweep his  office or to settle a brawl

Let the rest mock, rot or die

They’re here only to say ‘aye’

For he’s the ‘High Command’ that holds them in thrall.

Drawing a cartoon is no longer to be done

Even if it is meant only for fun

For the feelings are hurt, of those

That as moral policemen  pose

‘Tis best then, to stop before it’s begun

To prevent the mouth from drooping to a U

Laugh a lot said the sage, or round it to say ‘boo’

So I laughed at everything, funny or not

Perhaps I did it more than I ought

For now my mouth has laugh lines in a queue

I lay on my ‘death bed’ and said goodbye to all

My lawyer was witness to the will I scrawled

I e’en wrote my epitaph for the stone

While everyone waited to see me gone

But my dear doctor said it was a ‘false call’

We’re for the poor they say till the election  is won

Then, they say how can we help if money we have none

There are laws that need to be amended

And lots of causes to be defended

Meanwhile, you can wait or to death be done
