Background

We are celebrating Spring, Love and more, along with the House of Harmony literature festival, curated and organised by the awesome Harshali Singh and Mona Verma. As a part of this celebration Readomania is announcing a short story writing contest. So here is your chance to write, and win prizes!

What needs to be done

1. Write a SHORT STORY on the theme of Happiness. The story should make the reader happy, you can choose your path to do so.
2. Word Limit – 1500 words
3. Submissions must be done through Readomania website. No other form of submission will be considered valid. You will have to register on Readomania and create your author profile.
   1. Go to home page and click on Register
   2. After registering, you will get a code on your email. Wait for a few minutes. It may take some time.
   3. Enter the code to complete registration, you will automatically be logged in for the first time.
   4. Go to Home Page > Publish > Publish Online; An online submission form will open, fill in the details and submit.
   5. After submission, the Readomania team will review the content and publish it on the website. You will get a mail with the link. All participating stories will be published on Readomania.com unless it does not adhere to the content guidelines
   6. REMEMBER TO ADD - House of Harmony in the title of the submission. For example, if your story title is The Magic of Joy, then you must write The Magic of Joy - House of Harmony
4. Your author profile on Readomania should be complete for judges to be able to see it - this includes your bio and your photograph
5. Last Date: 15-February-2025

What is in it for you?

1. Three winning stories will be felicitated during the House of Harmony literature festival and the best story will get a book hamper from Readomania
2. All stories will be featured on readomania.com
3. Results will be declared on 2-March at the festival

1. Evaulation will be based on following parameters
   1. Uniqueness of the idea
   2. Langauge
   3. Adherence to rules
2. This challenge is open to all. There is no age limit.
3. The language of submission is English.
4. Each person can send only one story.
