Readomania will be publishing Smita Das Jain's collection of short stories.
Twisted Tales and Turns is a collection of 20 unpredictable short stories where the truth is not as apparent as it seems. Organised into four sections of five stories each, these tales provide a glimpse into the multi-faceted human nature, with an unexpected twist at the end binding the collection together.
A daughter waiting for her father to return from war...
An artist struggling to create a masterpiece...
A scientist having her own definition of a better world...
A man who has eyes only for another woman on his wedding night…
the stories in the book reflect the world around us, which, for all the advances in science and technology, remains unpredictable. The twist in each story in the book is not just a plot device but a symbol of the unpredictability of life. Whether it is a sudden change of heart, a realisation that the path trodden is wrong or a shocking revelation, the twist is a testament to the power of the human spirit and the resilience of the human soul that endures beyond this world.
"A lovely collection of short stories going from the normal to the supernatural. The twist at the end is often a total surprise," says Chetan Mahajan, author, and founder of the Himalayan Writing Retreat.
Das Jain says, 'This collection of short stories will make you think, feel and question everything you thought you knew about reality. As a reader, it is a tribute to my favourite author Jeffrey Archer. As a writer, I think it is my best to date. Twisted Tales and Turns is a book that I am proud to have written.'
