Readomania is excited to announce the acquisition of the worldwide publishing rights to Mona Verma’s collection of Tales from Puranas, titled The Daivya Sutras. The book is expected to hit the stores in December 2021 or January 2022.
Stories have been told for as long as we have had language. When it comes to mythology, storytelling is perhaps the most powerful way that human beings process their cultural bearings. No wonder, telling stories over generations has been like a family ritual. Children and adults alike have been fascinated by the tales of the Trinity, valour of the warriors, the ethereal beauty of the goddesses, and the larger-than-life portrayal of the protagonists.
There's no gainsaying that this genre holds everyone's attention and is fascinating across ages for it has something to offer to just about everyone.
The author says, 'Modern-day storytelling in this genre is backed by logic. The lucid writings have brought to light the forgotten characters whose voice was hitherto unexplored. This modern twist holds the readers’ interest by busting the stereotypes and long-held obsolete beliefs. Locking myself away in a mind space where myths and fantasies abound can be as exhausting as it can be gratifying . A book on Puranas demands inexhaustible energy and empathic understanding of what real India is! I discovered our roots through this tree of spirituality.'
