The journey of success takes us through a ride of barriers and potholes, probably this is the process of life. The most important barrier of achieving this stage of life is anxiety which can be overcome by patience and dedication.
Failure is the first step which leads us to stressful, depressed or low energetic mood. Motivation is the only remedy to lighten up this mood. It is the psychological remedy which fills our mind with positive thoughts and vibes. This process is reversion, the more we create positive thoughts the more we get positive outcomes.
There are multiple ways through which we can motivate ourselves like reading a book, watching motivational speeches or Ted talks, taking a break from your chores, etc. You can always start your day with a plan as in listing down simple things that you need to finish; for instance “Talk to mom” or “Finish reading the book”. Always write your goals in present tense instead of penning it down in past. While doing this you’re programming your brain to accept this fact and helping in motivating yourself.
One can always invest their time for themselves by doing such activities which could help them achieving their goals:
- Music: Music has the ability to elevate your emotions and influence your mood. Make sure that you are listening to right kind of music which calms your mind. Sometimes right words, tunes and blend of instruments can do wonders.
- Self-talk: Only you can be your greatest motivation, no one else can do it better. If you ever feel low or demotivated, talk to yourself and ask questions. Remind yourself everyday your goals.
- Reward yourself: This approach is one of the scientifically proven ways to keep the bar high. Reward yourself with your favorite food or indulge in your favorite activity whenever you achieve smaller goals.
- Exercise: When you workout or do light exercises, your body releases hormones like dopamine, serotonin(happy hormone) or even deep breathing, which activates your mood.
These small tricks can help resolving the negative emotions or anxiety quickly.
