The mountains shudder

Tremors run

The ground beneath

Opens up

A world undone.

Houses crumble

Like cookies in

A random

Collapse of

Concrete dreams

Buried deep in rubble

Barely seen

Dusty fingers grope

For life

Desperate hope within

The dead are freed

The living cry

For theirs is the

Greater

Death to die

Torn usunder from

a living known

Flung into

Chaos, a world

Overthrown

Questions, prayers

Fervent pleas

Anything to restore

To bring

Reluctant peace

And yet it does not

Stop, they come

Shocks after shocks

Shattering hopes

That this

Would end, for some
