There was just a tiny little peep hole
Almost a squeeze in the stone wall.
The wall that withstood many a tempest
And many ill tempers,
Wasn't a play for one to peep through.
A squeeze so minute and so red
Especially when it was a glimpse
Into the unknown of some far off yonder.
One eye and then with the other
I tried to peer to see what glories
Were held in the great unknown.
I pried and I twisted some of the red away to peep a little more.
Wait. I could see a little something.
Another wondrous creature
Peeping at me from the red beyond
To see if there were some great glories
On my side of the unknown.
I backed away abashed
And turned away from the peep spot.
As I turned, I saw as if for the first time,
The different colors and hues
That my walls held me within.
