A beautiful morning with a cup of tea,
A conversation throughout the laughter spree,
Feeling new in a relation as old as a banyan tree,
A scene serene like moon's reflection in the sea,
Knocking on life's door and realizing you already have the key.

A stranger's smirk, as you head towards work,
Learning new things, going through another perk,
A fresh new start, when everything seemed to fall apart.
Falling asleep to the wind while counting the stars,
Watching the sun rise,
Feeling warm in this journey of lows and highs.
A life close to nature, full of grace,
When you start to learn from your mistakes,
Retrace, displace, erase, encase, ace and embrace,
When the first sunray hits your face,
When you find clarity in the haze.

It's these simple pleasures along the way,
That bring that trust and faith to stay,
These are heaven's traces,
Which gift an everlasting smile to our faces.

An afternoon nap, on your mother's lap,
Riding on daddy's shoulder, clearing every boulder,
Fighting endlessly with your brother,
knowing you'd be there for one another.

Smiling without a reason, encountering a new season,
Dancing like crazy, under a sky so hazy,
Singing out loud,
even when you're surrounded by a crowd.

It's these simple pleasures all the while,
That help us in going through another mile,
In the journey where things go wrong,
These memories hold us and keep us strong.

People complain that life is short,
Because they miss out these small infinities of time.
And those who miss out these simple pleasures,
Can never discover life's greatest treasures.

Meeting an old friend after a while and realizing things are the same,
When you troll others together and call each other by a crazy name,
When you know they'll stay until the end,
And when you're broken they try to mend.

True friends, which hold you like bookends,
Finding familiar faces in unknown lands,
Sharing one tiffin between people four,
They make fun of you,
But you know they would love you to the core.

It's these simple pleasures that comfort us and make us feel good,
But we put our shades on and stay under the hood,
The playground stays empty,
While a kid holds a smartphone in his hands,
So many apps to be downloaded,
Who's got time to make friends?

Seeing the one you love smile,
Which makes it worth all the while,
When your first love becomes your last,
And you forget all the pain of the past,
Staring into their ocean eyes,
And forgetting all ifs, buts and whys,
A relation so pure, far away from the lies.

When life gives you another chance,
When you discover new things, make new plans,
Seeing the sunshine paint the world gold,
A shoulder to cry on and a hand to hold,
Finding something priceless in a world which is sold.

When you go through bad times but know everything would be fine,
A serenade under the vanilla moonshine,
When you feel chills running down your spine,
As both hands meet and the fingers intertwine.

We all know when it rains it pours,
But when you find someone who is truly yours,
When you have some people by your side,
You find comfort in this roller coaster ride.

And it's these simple pleasures throughout our lives,
Like hugs, kisses, brofists and highfives,
But we all don't unwrap the presents present presents us every day,
'Cause we're tensed about the destination rather than enjoying the way.

And on our deathbeds we realize,
That chasing money and materialism wasn't wise,
There's something else that touches us on the deep,
Love & blessings.. simple kindness..
Ours to hold but not to keep.
