There are times in life when we want something but that’s the only thing we just cannot have. Is it something that’s wrong with us that we don’t get it or is it that it was not meant for us. Well, it’s difficult to explain yourself and each of us have our own style and view on it and different ways through which we deal with this. Actually, it’s neither so difficult nor so easy as it is directly related to our emotions, expectations, wishes, dreams and aspiration which cumulatively define our happiness and when we fail to reach that level, our happiness is doomed. But have we ever thought that we learnt so much on that way, we got ahead in life too, we moved from Point A to Point B, but we ignore all this in the sense of failure of not achieving the fixed target.
Sometimes failure is not end, but the beginning of something new which we come to understand after a specific period only. For that moment the only thing that matters a lot for us is that pain, sadness, grief of being unsuccessful in that endeavour. This is when we need the self-talking and self-expression most in us to freely express our emotions and talk with our self that what we have achieved in the process, to explore the challenges and opportunities that came on the path, the hurdles we faced, the small or big victories we had during the journey. It’s easy said than done, no doubt on that, the pain of not being successful would be there but rather than crying over it again and again, it’s practical and apt to move in the right direction by learning from the learning as well as the failure. No one can win a battle without failing as failure brings in light our limitations, our capabilities, our objectives, our dreams and aspirations as well as the challenges that we will face again. This does not mean that we should never aim high or again try for it, this means that we should learn from the mistakes and try to adopt an alternative method for achieving the aim.
The saying ‘practice makes a man perfect’ is not just a saying but the most practical truth of life. Until and unless we don’t try and try to achieve our set goals, we should not give up and through this process of hit and trial, we will be able to explore various methods and ways and learn new things. To simple say that we should never give up, we should be open to learning and opportunities that come our way. There are ample opportunities waiting to be discovered and explored by us, we all need to have an open mind and eye for them, we should be ready and willing to explore various opportunities and alternatives to achieve our set targets or goals. Failure or success is not something which we can control, as they are external factors but we can definitely control and alter our attitude, behaviour, approach, views, opinion and perspective regarding the issue or challenge lying in front of us. A winner is not the one who wins all races but it’s the one who wins against all odds through his/her willingness to learn and explore. Life is an endless journey of learning and exploring places, things, knowledge, people, experiences, etc. There is never an end to knowing things in the world; there is never a saturation or stagnancy in the field of knowledge. Experience and knowledge are two most vital ingredients in making life successful and fruitful. We need to be open to everything that comes our way, we should not be rigid rather flexible in our views and willingness to let new horizons enter our domain.
Life would be beautiful and soul satisfying if we let our mind, heart and soul explore new opportunities, cross hurdles and win against all odds by learning through experience. A person can never be satisfied with the things or knowledge he possess that’s what drives him/her to challenge himself/herself and push their limits to learn new things in life. The hunger and drive for knowledge is something which can
be named/termed as constructive obsession which bring inner peace and psychological well-being in a person i.e. bring a balance in the person’s life.
