I shaved my head
For the loss
I learned the books
And kissed the cross
I carried through
The yogi's curse
The holy chant
The unholy verse
Climbed Jacob's ladder
Up and down
I kissed the angel
And the clown
Swam the oceans
With no halt
To rinse my sins
In the salt
But here I lie
To the left of you
With all the blots
Impure, but true
Dim the lights
And kiss my skin
Close my eyes
And take me in
To a golden desert
To a distant land
Bury my limbs
Deep in the sand
Make sure you burn
Every stain on me
And then soar above
And rain on me
