The collar on his neck and the grip in my hand,
Gave me the dominance over him that I never had.
He ran towards her dragging me with him,
He unintentionally showed me what he felt within.
They sniffed each other from head to toe,
Did love grow on their wet shiny nose?
Smell was the only constant reminder of someone long gone
You can change your face, your habits or your lawn.
Their eyes were speaking on their own,
This long-awaited meeting kept it going on.
Black and white were all that they could see,
Love is yet another color, I thought out of greed.
Explosion of feelings wagged out of their tails,
No wonder they weren’t meant to be straight,
It was time to go, I pulled him back,
He would jump on two legs and not give a feck.
They barked at each other, still would keep eye contact.
He taught me something to which I’d never react.
Make a noise when someone leaves, you have been too silent
Love like that may never come twice, to protect it from strangers you have to be violent.
