Only if you had let me run wild
to chase the wavelength of all those
shadowy radiance of light.
Shining bright in the VIBYOR of our lives.
Illuminating the patchy contours,
blemishing the freckles upon the maps of this ride.
Only if you had let me glow
in the wilderness amongst the beasts.
Grunting heavily,
prowling gluttonously,
towards the dazzling vignettes of our outrageously sumptuous feast.
Only if you had seen
Me scattering the granules
sowing the consciousness of our divided needs.
Sniffing the trailsof our separated paths,
breaking free from the blows,
walking away from all the doors which closed.
Blocked. Clogged. Or stopped.
The entrance to your soul.
Only if you had known
apart from my seeming fortitude
What else did my heart undergo!
Perhaps then
you would have felt
The slither of the serpents upon my chaste bed.
