There is something so comforting when you are around
There is more color on the flowers and more green in the grass
A nip in the air and a whiff of something fresh and alive
The flowers have just begun a slow game of peek-a-boo
And there is a slow but steady rhythm to the sway of the trees
There is something so comforting when you are around
The bitter cold is just passing and giving way to the leveller
The days of shivering are gone for the season
And the days of basking in the sun are yet to begin
I love this time of transience, not too short, not too long
I love the colors you bring, the joy you give
Life is beautiful when you are around
But if spring is here then can summer be far behind?
