Talks will continue, my mother assure,

But not like before, i know for sure!

The slang, the snaps, innocuous fights,

Priceless before the jewellery's bright,

My parents are happy, cause they will be free,

daughters are a great liability,

Occasion most pious, time most propitious, they say,

But pangs of separation make none happy, none gay, nay!

Enigma of these atrocious Indian weddings, I never understood,

With abstruse agony, gaping I stood,

Paroxysm of emotions, we couldn't refrain,

From my heart and soul, tears drained,

'Didi', 'Didi', she ignored my call,

But the palour of our face said it all!
