A journey wending its way ahead,
an uphill road in proximity,
thou escorted me every time mother,
with thy love and its purity.
Those days as some faint reminiscence,
come flying back to me,
my unreasonable cries as a toddler,
thou turned them into glee.
The sleep in thy eyes unbearable,
beside an ill son awake all night,
growing up slowly into a boy,
thou edified me with wrong & the right.
Thy life burnt as a lamp,
to light mine with a nascent shine,
for me, thou art the one,
the only one more than divine.
In some distant place I am,
and thy voice hums forever,
towards that dream thou had,
I forge on with endeavor.
Back in a flash, return I would,
have faith in me, I do promise,
to spray the scent of roses,
to furbish thy heart with bliss.
