Aditi sat gormlessly as her parents continued to spew out bitter words to each other; bitter harsh words that were unpleasant to the naïve soul. It has been many birthdays since she has been a witness of their daily brawl and use of stingy words, yet every time they fought, she felt sickness enveloping her body. She looked around the mauve colored room only to find lovely pictures of her family together, some with her as a baby and some with her parents as perfect they could be. And all that she could do was to wait for the day when those days golden would touch their lives again. She clinged on to the hope that someday she will reconnect to that happy self and her broken family.
She always longed for a night when they would dine together and share all that their hearts could hoard throughout the day; she always longed for a morning when her eyes would open to just feel the warm bliss of their love; she longed for a boon to muffle their rifts and so that love would blossom again. She longed for a day when love itself will engrave its name on them for she knew that behind those vicious, hostile words there lay an emotion that can’t be defined by those absurd namecallings set up by man’s elfin intellect; the heart wrenching emotion that has been held back by strong chains of venomous hitches..
As words continued to fill the air, she turned towards the window. The sun was glowing brightly with the dazzling color and broken sunlight made its way through the trees, she remembered playing under their affectionate branches with her parents. She felt the rays of hope kissing her skin; rays of hope for a miracle to happen, no matter how inexplicable or unbelievable they might be...
Someday, somehow they all would fine the treasure chest of love in each others heart. Someday, somewhere they will rekindle the warmth of love and blanket themselves in happiness. Afterall hope keeps us going even under dire circumstances, thats the magic of hope that creates miracles.
