It was a long, deep slumber.
Like I told you before,
Let me sleep for however long I wish.
Don't call out to me.
Don't be worried.
Let me hold the pain in me.
Let it settle deep in my skin.
Whispering in your ears
to leave me high,
Didn’t I tell you?
When I wake up
I'll let you see,
the stronger me?
And now you see me
replacing the pain with love.
Holding my head high,
and smiling at the new sky.
I wanted to be asleep for a while.
My ribs were the cage
meant to be broken,
for my heart had to be set free.
To feel the trickle of one love
that was never meant to be.
To burn myself to ashes,
only then I could rise,
from being nothing to
all that I was destined to be.
And so today
I rise, again,
to never look back
and never let them break,
my soul and belief.
New hope is here.
Look,
It's a new dawn.
It's a new bird
I see it soaring high
And now I know, it's no one else
But I.
I, who would last when the apocalypse strikes,
For my slumber, woke me up,
to see who I really was,
Fearless,
is who I am and will be.
