I had swum against the tides of agony
Climbed over mountains of anguish
Not knowing when my soul would break
For my people shall never be destroyed in my wake
But now I walk through a chamber of pain
My heads down, my pride slain
My race has been slaughtered
My life has been shattered
As the raging storm drenches me
With droplets of melancholy
I look towards the sky
Praying for Death to consume me
Grey mist gathers around me
Growing with intensity, glowing with dark energy
I close my eyes, I take a deep breath
I clench my fists
And walk towards the heart of the mist
The raw pull of its core tears my body apart
And pushes my mind towards insanity
As life flashes before my eyes, I let go,
Willing to break, willing to concede
And then the thunder roars from the clouds above
Breaking into the mist, scattering it
It courses right through my withered body
Washing me in a current of torture
Ripping me from the realms of sanity
Forcing me through the doors of death
Has the prince fallen already?
Has the royal blood of my father
Which had the ferocity of the erupting volcanos,
Turned into the sorrows of a sea?
NO!
I WILL RISE ABOVE WEAKNESS!
Lightning flows into my heart
And blasts through my veins
Electrifying my royal blood
Saturating it with power
Flooding it with wrath
I feel resurrected
I feel transformed
Closing my eyes, I take a deep breath
I pray for my father’s blessings
Who hides behind the curtains of death
Tears of rage sprout out of my murderous eyes
With the roar of a dragon I march towards my enemies
Alone, but with the wrath of a beast
Not as a fragile prince
Waiting for his disastrous end
But as a mighty king
Revived from an ancient legend.
