The day my heartbeats get weary
and, refuse to walk further,
I wish to be laid in peace,
with no garlands and no wreaths,
Adorned in a sparkling white sheet,
dress me up, all perfumed and crisp.
Gather all not for a condolence,
but celebrate over wine and dine.
Do laugh over my follies,
forgive my omissions,
and cherish the good times we shared.
Amidst those smiles and that laughter,
bid me a warm and loving goodbye!
