The world goes around me, yes, I am the king
I promised survival and that's all I will bring
To my own self, to this frame of muscle and bone
Not the intellect, I can't reap what I haven't sown
Always taking pride in imposing my superiority
Reminding the living and dead of their inferiority
Be it riches of the globe or the living body of my own spouse
Even my own children or the other inmates of this great house
I destroy them all according to my pleasing
There's no stopping me, there's no ceasing
The other half of me should come first
The one victim of my unquenchable thirst
Nature deems too much of wanting as unjust
Still she pretends it is love when my skin hungers lust
As if I have given the rules of nature a damn before
When she starts dreaming, I bring her life to the floor
And the encouragement she gives by keeping shut
The queen of a palace or a damsel in a hut
Transforming her in a machine to pass on my heredity
Then killing my own blood in the name of continuity
And robbing my own humble abode of the precious treasure
Just to calm down the blaze of luxury and pleasure
Metals, they have names but are dead and cold
Valued while my own kin's skin is being sold
And those species whose existence is ever unstable
They make nice additions below and above the dinner table
Beheading the critics, rewarding the ones who call me great
In simple words, I don't rule these lands, rather I dictate
I desire pleasure, heredity, comfort and feast
Who Am I? I am a Man, Synonym of Beast
