We saw each other after five months and a day,
But hardly did we exchange any word.
The smile you showered, you know, it would always stay,
Cutting through my heart with its sharp sword.
I very well know, you did glance at me,
People sitting beside me did see and say.
Even my sadness couldn't stop me from smiling free,
Things remain this way, I pray.
I would never know what is in your beautiful mind,
All I did was catch a few glimpses of you.
You are, I know, one of that kind,
No artist can paint the splendor true.
We haven't talked much, I do know,
And this poem is the effort I am making up.
Trust me on this and I shall be your warmth on snow,
So that, in future, we can talk about this clinking our cup.
