The sun shone bright and warm,
bedazzling her pearly white gown
plaits were dancing in a swarm,
gleamy grew the hours in farm ..
butterflies and bees flew out over loud flowery shows
clouds rained, long and cold, of pearly showers of flowers
she stood there with exasperation, in awe
and white as marble even paler than snow
round my neck, her dear arms did
most fondly and caress enfolded
wondering she was, whom had she held
in her arms and dreams, in her life untold,
a fool I was, to see her and yet behold
I am what I am, no one cares or knows
my friends forsake me like a memory lost
the self consuming animal of my woes
they rise and vanish in oblivion's host
when did my feelings get so deep
why did they take that big long leap
since when did her smile make me go weak
since when did her tears make mine start to leak
why does this happen when i'm always so strong
when i looked into the skies i saw birds that flies
that have brought themselves miles
as the people walk with smiles and
when I went into the sea
I felt my heart rush with glee
seeing those debris that makes me
want to see I went into the mountains
that only soil contains
but when she comes as the rain still they remain
I looked and saw those things
and wonder in my life what it brings
and then my heart gladly sings,
"oh what wonderful things!"
when lifes tempests blow high
in seclusion, no longer i tread,
where the prim roses lie
and the green mosses spread
how do I love thee, let me count the ways,
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
my soul can reach when feeling out of sight
for the ends of being an ideal grace
I love thee to the level of every one's
most quiet need by sun and candle light
I love thee freely, as people strive for right
I love thee purely, as they turn from praise,
I love thee with the passion put to use
in my old griefs, and with my childhoods faith,
I love thee with a love i seemed to lose
with my lost sainthood, i love thee with the breath,
smile, tears of all my life, and if God chose,
I shall but love thee better after my death,
for only when I die, I am gonna be a prince
