I wonder what you are up to...
Do you recall what I said?
Do you smile?
Do you think life worth lived?

I picture the shape of your lips...
How they change when you smile
And droop when you’re in thought.

As I wander through the rooms
Folding a blanket here,
Drawing a curtain there,
Am I the sunshine in your life?

I hum our favourite tune
From old films of lovelorn men
And demurring lasses...

Sometimes as I pass the day
I wonder will my life pass this way
Each in a parallel universe
Drawn asunder each passing day…
