Two emperors, majestic and fiery
Overseeing their territories, royally.
One blazing outside,
Another, ready to charge upon me.
I sit in the second one’s company
Expectant, in awe of his aura
Awaiting the boon of delight
That is the largesse of royalty.
I admire his golden skin
Shiny, smooth, splendid
Holding the imperial flesh
In its brilliant brocade, within.
Competing with the one yonder
His regal confidence
Complete in luscious resplendence
Compelling his subjects to surrender.
His fragrance fills my senses
Savouring his glorious whiff;
With a hedonistic, restrained joy,
Juicy bygone memories, I relive.
He finally blesses me indulgently
I close my eyes in bliss
My soul drenched and satiated.
I taste his promised ecstasy.
Stirring oppositions, that’s his company
Indulgent desire with gratification
Distancing kin from kin,
Making mothers sin in gluttony.
O magnificent Mangifera!
I sit intoxicated, whetted and dry...
Do I have a piece of sun in my mouth
Or is it that
A part of the maharajah rules the sky?
