Author Overview
Radhika Maira Tabrez is an award-winning writer, editor, writing coach, freelance trainer, and motivational speaker. Her debut novel ‘In The Light Of Darkness’ won the coveted Muse India – Satish Verma Young Writer Award. Her second novella, The Emancipation of Farzana Siddiqui, was released in early 2019 to rave reviews. Radhika has won many national writing contests. Her stories and essays have been published in over a dozen anthologies. In March 2018, she became the first Indian ever to speak at a TEDx event in Bangladesh. She has also won the Rising Stars India Award (2017) and 100 Most Inspiring Writers by Indian Awaaz (2018). She was one of the Program Mentors for the Chevening Writers Series held in Penang, Malaysia in November 2020. She is the founder of Roots & Wings – a life skills enhancement program for children and adults.
Before her foray into writing, Radhika was a Learning and Development professional with over fourteen years of experience spanning across ITeS, Travel, Telecom and BFSI sectors, during which she held many senior management positions. She is an MBA in Human Resources from SIBM, Pune; where she went on to become the first and till-date the only female to be elected as President of the Students’ Council in the institute’s almost fifty-year-old history.
Her home is now split between Delhi, Dhaka, and Penang, where she has moved most recently in pursuit of a tranquil life away from the bustle of the big metropolis. She is currently brewing her third book; which she plans to commit to paper soon, while sitting on her balcony, overlooking the turquoise waters of Malacca Strait.
